Azola

With a view to provide excellent green fodder to cows of Ghoshala, the Matha has established Azola project in an area of 30000 sq. Ft. A fine layer of soil is spread in the tanks measuring 6x10 ft, then successive layers of cow dung, cow urine and water are poured in it. Then Azola seeds are sprinkled. In time the seeds grow into aquatic plants, which are fed to the cows along with the fodder. It is very nutritious and is grown with nominal cost.
